there is a picture outside john knox’s house, edinbrugh and i would like to know who the children are?

I couldn’t pull up your link, but I found several collections of Francis Frith photos of Edinburgh, Scotland, that contained the same photograph of John Knox’s house dated 1897. Each one, however, is simply too small to make out any details about the children. Because the dresses are light-coloured, I’d guess that the picture was taken during the spring or summer.

Accordingly, I’m forced to give you a facetious answer: Scots.
